'Reassurance' has quickly established itself as a key strategic tool for MAN TopUsed, and is expected to be a crucial factor in the success of MAN TopUsed's new Network of Regional Centres, currently springing up across the UK.

Scott Timber, the Scottish based pallet specialist haulier, was one of the first major fleet operators to take a number of quality approved used TGAs through 'Reassurance'.

The vehicles offered are all 'ex contract' and have been maintained throughout their working life to date by experienced MAN ERF technicians. They are then given further rigorous testing and inspection and are offered on sale prepared to the very high MAN TopUsed standards, so quality and reliability are already 'built in'.

The 'Reassurance Programme' then offers buyers a choice of three acquisition options on these vehicles, with the further assurance of the new MAN ERF Network on hand right across the country to carry out any service and maintenance work required. The acquisition options include straightforward, outright Cash Purchase, with optional three-year R&M packages available to suit operational requirements.

The second option covers Hire Purchase or Lease Finance, also with optional three-year R&M packages, and provides real operational flexibility and control, allowing the operator to write-down allowances whilst purchasing the vehicle.

The third option is Contract Hire, specifically for those operators not wanting to own trucks outright, but, subject to status, looking for off-balance sheet funding over three years. Such operators may also receive better tax concessions than the equivalent capital allowances available.
